October 27 from Asheville, N. C.
where she spent several weeks
with her mother who is ill. She

dent of the Rebekah Assembly of
Oregon, accompanied by Mrs.
Catherine Olson, was a guest at
the local lodge Thursday night.
After the business meeting she

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Schriever
of Mollala celebrated their silver
wedding anniversary one day
last week. During the day they
had 200 well wishers calling on
them. Their home was beautiful
ly decorated with fall flowers and
the cake was a lovely creation
trimmed with white roses and
silver candies. The couple receiv.
ed many gifts as well as a host
of well wishes.
The intermediate group of
Campfire girls met at the home
of Mrs. Wilbur Steagall Monday.

The teachers of the Lexington
school with the others of the
county went on a tour of McNary
dam Monday. This was the pro
gram for the Irrigon school which
was host to the Morrow County
Teachers association.
Mrs. Hermann Wallace and
Mrs. Roy Martin were hostesses
for the primary room party last
week.
The school census has been
completed and discloses that the
district has 102 children of school
age, 53 boys and 49 girls.
Barbara Rands entered school
Monday as a student of the 6th
grade. She comes from Oak
Grove.
The dinner and bazaar given
by the Three Links club Tuesday
was well attended. Mrs. Archie
Munkers won the bedroom set
auctioned off. This consisted of
five pieces of fancy work all
done by hand.
