COURT PROCEEDINGS
FOR JANUARY, 1950
The minutes of the December,
1919 term were read and approv
ed. It wai ordered by the Court
that dog owners would be given
until March 1, 1950 to procure
dog licenses at the rate of $1.00
for males or spayed females and
$2.00 for females, and after above
mentioned date, the licenses shall
be collected for at the rale of
$2.00 for males or spayed females
and $4.00 for females.
It Is ordered by the Court that
the Heppner Gazette Times be the
official newspaper of the county
for the year 1950.
The Court hereby appointed
Dr. Archie D. McMurdo as physi
cian for Morrow Counly for the
year 1950.
The Court granted a dance hall
license to the Lexington I. O. O.
F. Lodge No. 163.
Plans for new buildings for the
Fair Grounds at Boardman were
submitted for approval, they were
approved provided that ample
funds are available for its com
pletion. Raymond Ferguson was re-appointed
as a member of the Mor
row County Fair Board for a per
iod of three years beginning as of
January 1, 1950.
The Shell Oil Company was
awarded the contract of furnish
ing the County with Gasoline and
Diesel Oil for the year 1950 as It
was the lowest bid offered.
The Court appointed the follow-,
lng members to the Morrow Coun
ty Hospital Board, effective as of
January 1, 1950: John Krebs, Cecil,
Oregon, for a term of 1 year;
Harry Duvall, Lexington, Oregon,
for a term of 2 years; Jack
O'Connor, Heppner, Oregon, for a
term of 3 years; Mrs. Fred Smith.
Boardman, Oregon, for a term of
4 yours; and P. W. Mahoney,
Heppner, Oregon, for a term of 5
years. The Board selected P. W.
Mahoney as president, Mrs. Fred
Smith as Vice-President and Jack
O'Connor as Secretary.
The following Bangs' Disease
claim was allowed: Algy F. Tay
lor $15.00.
