Miss Murle Scales, clothing
specialist at O. S. C, will be in
Irrigon each Thursday this month
to train six project leaders in
construction of wool or wool-like
garments.
These leaders will hold work
shops in their own community
for 26 women in Boardman and
Irrigon.
Miss Scales, former HDA in
Yamhill county for two years,
served as HDA in Texas for six
years before entering the WAVES.
While in the service, she worked
as a cafeteria manager in the
States and Hawaii.
Miss Scales received her B.S.
from Trinity university, Waxaha
chie, Texas; did graduate work at
Denton, Texas and received her
Master's degree at Iowa State
college.
Miss Mabel Wilson will con
duct the same type of training
meeting for the five leaders in
structing the 24 women in cloth
ing workshops on Fridays this
month in the south end of the I
