Saturday evening from Anthony
Lake, Oregon, where they had
spent the past week in Presbyter
Ian Youth Summer Camp. Rev.
Eble was one of the teachers.
Mrs. L. Beatrice Daniels of Cor
nelius, Oreg., was a caller Wed
nesday at the Thorpe Home. She
was also looking after property
interests.
Wednesday the Ladies Aid Mis
sionary society met at the home
of Mrs. Lowell Shaltuck. The
next Silver tea will meet Wednes
day, August 3rd, place to be an
nounced later.
John Beddes of Elgin was a re
cent visitor at the home of his
brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and
Mrs. Charles Nickerson. Beddes
is Mrs. Nickerson's twin brother
Mrs. Roy Marlow and two chil
dren of Umatilla were callers at
the Frank Marlow's Monday.
P.F.C. Dexter Clark of the 15th
Air Force, stationed at Spokane
Wn., spent the week end at the
W. L. Blann home. Clark is Mrs.
Blann's nephew.
Frank Atteberry and friend of
Tacoma, Wn., were overnight vis
itors of Atteberry's grandmother,
Mrs. Olive Atteberry. The boys
were on their way to Yellowstone
for a vacation.
Mr. and Mrs. Deb Beaver and
family spent Saturday on the
project visiting Mrs. Beaver's par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Wiley Brown
and also friends. The Beaver's
are picking cherries near Golden
dale, Wn., but are located dt
Ocean Park, Wn.
Mrs. Charles Nickerson spent a

ing Stitchers and Cooks" met at
Steagalls. The cooks made pop
overs, while the Sewing II girls
worked on their dresses. The la

holders and scarves. Members
present were: Deanna and Pat
Steagall, flanet and Judy Howton,

and Patricia and Shirley Peck.
Refreshments of punch and cook
ies were served by Mrs. Steagall.
We also sampled the popovers.
Thursday, July 7, the club met
again at Glenna Grfifith's home.
More of the Sewing II girls were
present as they had been to 4-H
camp. They gave a little talk on
what they had done at camp.
The cooking girls made icebox
cookies. Refreshments of ice
cream and cookies were served
by Mrs. Griffith.
A third meeting was held on
Tuesday, July 19, at the leaders
home, Mrs. John Graves. Mem
bers present were: Patricia and
Shirley Peck, Janet and Judy
Howton, Beverly and Phillls No
lan, Deanna and Pat Steagall,
Betty Messenger, Marilyn Munk-
ers, Shirley Hunt, Yvonne Breed
ing, Glenna Griffith and Joan
Breeding. Mrs. Graves showed
us slides of the 4-H Beef Tour
ton.
Lyle Tannehill of Eugene spent
the week end with his parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Tannehill.

that had been in the repair shop
