Election of officers was held
at the meeting of the P-TA Wed
nesday with a unanimous ballot
being cast for the following: Mrs.
J. R. Huffman, president; Mrs,
Jack O'Connor, vice-president;
Mrs. Ted Smith, secretary; and
Mrs. Adrian Bechdolt, treasurer.
Delegates to the P-TA conference
in Klamath Falls, April 27 to 29
are Mrs. J. R. Huffman. Mrs. Ted
Smith and Mrs. R. B. Rice, alter
nate. The Wranglers riding club
staged an amateur rodeo Sunday
afternoon at the Floyd Jones
ranch on Rhea creek with over a
hundred members and guests in
attendance. Hosts for the affair
were Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Jones.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Jones, Mr, and
and Mrs. Marcel Jones, Mr. and
Mrs. Jack Loyd. Mr. and Mrs.
Howard Bryant and Mr. and Mrs
Cornet Green.
W. B. Menzel and D. A. Kimball,
licensed contractors from Red
ding. Cal., and Ben Huenergard
and A. A. Chervney of Portland
spent Tuesday and Wednesday
in Heppner and vicinity looking
over the rural electrification pro
ject with a view to placing a bid
on the construction of the line.
Mrs. Harry O'Donnell left
j Thursday for San Francisco to
' attend a meeting of her alumnae.
Every ten years since their grad
uation the members of Mrs. 0'
Donnell's class have had a meet
ing such as is being held this
' week. Mrs. O'Donnell flew to San
Francisco from Pendleton.
I Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Scott re
: turned to their home in Portland
I Sunday after spending several
days here with her mother, Mrs.
L. D. Neill and Mr. Neill.
Week-end guests of Mr. and
Mrs. Alex Green were their
daughter, Louise and Dorothy
Coffman of Milton-Freewater and
Bob Hagerman of La Grande;
and Mr. and Mrs. Joe Green and
children of Pendleton.
Mrs. W. O. George and her mo
ther, Mrs. Sadie Sigsbee, returned
the last of the week from San
Francisco. Mrs. George attended
a moton picture exhibitors' con
vention in the city and was met
there by Mrs. Sigsbee who spent
the winter in California with rel
atives. Members of San Souci RebekaTi
lodge have been invited to attend
an initiation meeting of Pauline
Rebekah lodge in Pndleton on
the evenng of May 6 at 8 p.m.
Some twenty-five members have
signified their intention of at
tending this meeting.
