Sgt. Marvin Ransier will leave

which time he was called home
due to illness of his father, Dan
knansier. His wife will remain

Mrs. Ethel Cole, lecturer of
Greenfield grange, returned Sat
urday from Pendleton where she
attended a state grange lecturer s
school held at Vert Memorial.
Mrs. Cole reports a splendid meet
ing and about 74 lecturers pre
sent. Nels Kristensen was taken to
St. Anthony's hospital by Ray
Conyers on Saturday, suffering
from a bad sore neck and throat.
He is expected to return home in
a few days.
Sunday guests at the Ralph
Earwood home were Mrs. Ear
wood's mother, Mrs. Herman
Stienke, and her brother, Mr. and
Mrs. Rudolph Stienke and family
of Arlington.
Guests last week at the Arnin
Hug home were Mr. and Mrs. Earl
White and son Verlin of Golden
dale, Wash.
Margaret Earwood was taken
to St. Anthony's hospital in Pen
dleton Sunday suffering from a
bad case of pneumonia. Her mo
ther, Mrs. Ralph Earwood, was to
see her Monday.

AGAIN WITH TROJAN TEAM
Oregon State College Oregon
State's varsity debate team, which
finished third among teams of
the western states in the holiday
Salt Lake City tournament, will
have a chance to match wits
again with the team from Uni
versity of Southern California
which took first place. The two
teams are scheduled to meet here
in a decision debate February
25 as a convocation feature.
The question used throughout
the country in this years inter
collegiate debates is "Resolved,
that a federal world government
should be established."
