been attending the funeral of
Mr. Fussell's father who passed
away Wednesday.
Mrs. I. T. Pearson was taken
suddenly ill last week and was
taken to the Walla Walla gen
eral hospital where she under
went an appendectomy.
Melvin Carlson arrived home
from Florida this week and will
spend his furlough with his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Carl
son. Mrs. Robert Harwood left Sat
urday for Paokwood, Wash., to
spend the three-day holiday
with her brother and sister-in-law,

The Greenfield grange held
Saturday was a huge success.
This is an annual event put on
every fall. The exhibits on dis
play become the property of the
grange and after the judging
are auctioned off to the highest
bidder. The proceeds go into the
