Sunday, June 22, is an im
portant day to Dan Dinges, son
of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Dinges
of Lexington. On that date at
4 o'clock in the afternoon his
marriage to Miss Jessie Durston
of Portland will be solemnized
at the Westminster Presbyterian
church in Portland.

The Amicitia club met at the
home of Mrs. Orville Cutsforth
Tuesday evening with Mrs.

Betty Acock spent Sunday at
the home of her parents, the C.
W. Acock 's. She returned to
Pendleton Sunday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cooper and

day to spend a few days with

Edwards was elected to the Lex
ington school board. Alonzo
Henderson received the major
ity of district No. 12 votes for
member of the five-man county
board, but the other district
votes have not been taken as
yet. The school budget for the
?oming year was rejected and a
new budget mu.st be planned. It
was decided to vote on the mat
ter of transporting our high
cchool to another' school at the
nevf budget meeting.
Miss Marie Messenger of Los
Angeles has been a house guest
the past week of her brother,
Trum?n Messenger, and family.
On Sunday the Messenger fam
ily went to The Dalles to attend
the wedding of Mr. Messenger's
sirtcr, Miss Lois Messenger.
