two children arrived from their
New Jersey home to visit her
husband's parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Fred Houghton.
Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Caldwell
spent from Friday until Sunday
with his parents, the Tom Cald
wells and sister, Mrs. Robert
Smith and family. Mrs. Cald
well accompanied them back to
visit relatives in Portland, Leb
anon and Junction City.
Fred Davis is stuccoing his
duplex. They will move in this
week.
G. W. Walker left for Wichita,
Kansas. He had been spending
two months with the Fred Dav

James Shoun arrived home
Monday from Walla Walla.
Jared White and son Jack and

Sunday in Irrigon. Jack was

daughter Lavelle was graduat
ed. She is to be a missionary.

left for Marylhurst Tuesday to
attend the graduating exercises
at Marylhurst college on the af
ternoon of Wednesday.
Miss Frances Foster and Miss
Effie Bird started vacation Bi

noon. They had 25 children the

weeks vacation. Mr. Dix's sis

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Yarnell
returned home from Washing
ton Monday. Mr. Yarnell went
fishing in the Klickitat river and
I caught two trout each thirty in
ches long, one weighing seven
pounds and the other ten. Jhis

respondent saw them. They were
caught with hook and line.

Legion had initiation Tuesday
afternoon. The following offi

vice-president, Jane Lundell;
secretary and treasurer, Gladys
Drake. Lunch was served.

the result of an accident in the
local L'nion Pacific yards a few
weeks ago and the picture show
ed the fractures were healing.
