The lirownie Scout troop num
ber 1 has had many interesting
activities during the past month.
They made May baskets
which were shaped like para
sols, filled them with flowers,
and delivered them to their
"shut in" friends.
They also made leaf nrint
stationery to give to their mo
thers oh Mother's day. Many of
tne girls are working on leaf
print collections.
On Friday, May 9, they were
''r-n-'ht pMPQts of Mr. and
Mrs. John WIghtman at their
mountain home. They had their
nrst experiences in preparing
and serving group meals. They
also enjoyed a hike and picnic
on Saturday.
For their last meeting of the
school year they held a picnic
on the lawn back of the court
house. Each member invited
as her guest another little girl
who would like to be a Brownie.
An investiture ceremony was
held and Frances Marlatt be
came a member. The following
girls were announced as honor
scouts for the past three mon
ths: Adelia Anderson, Nancy
Anderson, Jean Marie Graham,
Sandra Lanham and Judy
