    Forest and Ranae
Ranger Jorgensen left Heppner
Monday to spend the week in the
mountains. He is going to assist
the maintenance crew in starting
work on the forest trails. "Jorgie"
also will spend some time riding
with Bill Howell -who is salter for
the Tamarack-Monument Cattle
association. During the time that
he is out he will inspect the sheep
allotments to ascertain the date
when the range will be ready to
have sheep turned on. The turning
on date of the different allotments
are varied a few days according
to the season and the subsequent
readiness of the forage.
Delbert Emert has started a crew
fencing the area around Penland,
Brown and Kelly prairies. He has
acquired the use of this land for
cattle range from the Forest Ser
vice under a special use permit-

TO MY MANY CUSTOMERS:
Reluctantly and regretfully I am placing my florist business
on sale because I. no longer have the time nor the energy to op
erate it myself.
I have greatly appreciated your patronage. It is evident that
the people in Morrow county will support this type of business
and there is much more in the way of service that the shop can
offer when it is operated by someone with fewer home responsi
bilities. Saturday, June 1, is the final day of the closeout sale on house
plants and vases. Thereafter, until the business is sold and
settled in its new location, I will continue to fill funeral, wed
ding and wire orders, using my home as my headquarters.
