' Decoration Day was set apart as a day to honor the departed, not alone those 'who gave their all in defense of their country, but for those who i contributed to the welfare of humanity while pass ing this way. It is the privilege of the living to pause for a time and reflect over the memory of those who have departed, to take a few hours to tidy up their eternal homes, and spend another hour in offering thanks to Him by whose grace we are permitted to enjoy the fruits of their labors. PIANO PUPILS PRESENTED BY MRS. O'HARRA The pupils of Mrs. Newt C Harra were presented in a piano recital Sunday afternoon at the O'Harra home near Lexington. The program opened with Janice Martin (five year old) playing The Toy Piano and Mary Had a Little Lamb. Nodding Ferns on a River Bank, Rodgers, and The Pin Wheels arranged by Bernard Wagness, Car la Whillock; Look It's Raining by Taylor and Up in a Swing, Litoff, Marilyn Munkers; Turkey in the Straw, by Wallis, and Soldiers on Parade by Eckstein, Eugene Ruhl; Vale of Song, Rolfe, Brahms Cradle Song and The Organ by Wagness, Betty Messenger; a duet, Little Journev, Marilyn Munkers and Mrs. OUarra; Cabin Dance, Balnes, and The Big Bass Singer, RoKe, Loren Piper; Football Game, and The Pixies Good Night Song, Rena June Messenger. Concluding the program was a duet by Betty and Rena June Mes senger. Cookies and punch were served to the guests following the musical. Mr. and Mrs. Burl Coxen re turned Saturday from Lewisl.on, Ida., and Clarkston, Wash, where they spent a few days last week. They took Mrs. Coxen's father, J. L.
