THESE YOUNG FOLKS
certainly hive a direct way of
asking questiors. Take Jane
Smart, for instance. The other
day she said, "Doctor, a group
of us were discussing alcohol
ism. Some folks are claiming
long and loud that it is a dis
ease." "Right, Jane," says I.
"Now with all other diseases,
research trys to discover the
source, and destroy that source,
doesn't it ? " "Right, Jane, again I"
"And yet the source of alcohol
ism Is known, and rather than
destroy it it seems to us girls
that they are trying to alibi or
camouflage the source if it is a
disease why not treat the source
like other diseases?"
