    New Brownie Scout
Troop Organized
A new Brownie Scout troop has
been organized under the leader
ship of Mrs. Stephen Thompson.
This group is intended to serve as
a social activty for seven-and eight
year old girls. Mrs. Conley Lanham
will act as assistant leader. The
troop committee consists of Mrs.
James Valentine, chairman, Mrs.
Claude Graham, Mrs. Raymond
Ferguson and Mrs. Alena Ander
son. The troup is being sponsored
by the Morrow County Woolgrow
ers auxiliary.
The first meeting was held Feb.
4 at the home of Mrs. Thompson.
"The Brownie Story" was read, the
"Brownie Smile Song" was sung,
the poem "A Fairy Went A-Mar-keting"
was read and discussed,
and several games were played.
Cake and ice cream were served
by Mrs. Valentine.
Girls present at the initial meet
ing were: Kay Valentine Jean Gra
ham, Margaret Wightman, Claire
Corwin, Mary Ruth Green, Phyljis
Nolan, Judy Thompson, Mary Ann
Barrie, Nancy Anderson, Darlene
Connor, Donna Lovgren and San
dra Lanham.

Mr. and Mrs. Lee Howell Miss
Marie Barlow and Mrs. Harriet
Lundell drove to Portland Thurs
day and returned home Sunday.
Mr. Howell has now returned to
work after an enforced layoff due
to a broken leg.
