The Boardman Yellowjackets de
feated the Heppner Mustangs with
a score of 50-29 Friday night, Feb.
1 on Heppner"s floor. The second
string lost.
Both the first and second strings
defeated Arlington on the Arling
ton floor Tuesday, Jan. 29.
The Rodgers family held a re
union at the Wiley Brown home
over the week-end. Those present
were Mr. and Mrs. Leland Rodgers
of Sacramento; Mr. and Mrs. Harold
Rodgers and daughter Bonnie of
Portland. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Rodgers
and sons Jimmy, Larry and Bill of
Stockton, Calif., and Mr. and Mrs.
Alen Rodgers and children Linda
and Allan Jr. Mrs. Allen Rodgers
is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Wiley Brown and they are making
their home with the Browns.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Tanners of
Duncan spent the week-end at the
home of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall
Ham. Mr. Ham and Mrs Tanners
are brother and sister.
Mr. and Mrs. Paul Smith and
sons; Charles, Lawrence and Bob of
Union visited Mr. and Mrs. Nathan
Thorpe last Monday.' The younger
Smiths went on to Portland, return
ing Saturday. Bob and Lawrence
returned to their home while Mr.
and Mrs. Smith and Chuck remain,
ed to help the Thorpes with the
new home they are building.
Art Robinson of the U. S. navy
is visiting his parents and brother

Mrs. Deane Ekleberry and chil
dred Dick, Shirley and Cora visited
at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Elvin
Ely last Saturday.
Lee Pearson who has been in the
hospital at Pendleton returned to
his home Wednesday but has not
improved very much.
The March of Dimes dance was
held at the school gym Saturday
night Feb. 2. The music was pro
vided by the Boardman orchestra.
Edna Pearson took Clarence Nel
son to The Dalles for a physical
check-up Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Crapper and son

motored to Hermiston Thursday.

Robert received medical attention.
Mr .and Mrs. Ronald Black mo
tored to La Grande Saturday. They
called on Richard Lilly who was in
a hospital there with bronchial
pneumonia.

Hazel Philips of Ordnance spent
the week-end visiting her sster and

returned from California where
they have been visiting their dau
ghter Edith and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Wyss of Os
wego visited at the home of the
Chas. Andereggs Monday on their
way to Spokane.
Mr. and Mrs. Stout left for their
new home in Salem Saturday. Dave
Zivney moved them.
COMMITTEE MEETING CALLED
A meeting of the Morrow county
committee for the Blue Mountain
camp and hospital council has been
scheduled for 2 p. m. Saturday at
the Elks building. It is urged that
all committee members attend. The
public is welcome to attend also.
The work of the council since June
will be recounted and the work
to be done for the Veterans' hos
pital will be outlined. There are no
jobs to be handed out, and a good
attendance is hoped for.
Gay Anderson Jr. called his mo
ther, Mrs. Nellie Anderson, from
California Monday to tell her of the
birth of a daughter. This is their
second child and both are girls.
Mrs. Anderson is in Portland on a
