Ray Sparks of the Marines is
back from Leyte and is at Los
Aneeles at present. He was an Ir
rigon boy.
Don Miller RM3c of the navy ar
rived Monday to " spend a 30 day
leave after being gone two years.
He has four more years to serve.
He is visiting at the Henry Miller
home.
Jack McFall has arrived home
AAF in England for two years,
after two years in England with the
AAF. His wife and small son have
been living in Spokane. They are
all visiting his parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Charles McFall and his sister
Mrs. Vivian Finer who has recently
come up from her home in Texas.
The baby is 17 months old and just
getting acquainted with his daddy.
William Rutledge is home arriv
ing Monday to visit his mother,
Mrs. Lillian Rutledge.
Ms. Edith Hefner of Vancouver
is visiting her sister Mrs. Earl Con-
nell and family.
Bernie Green S2c arrived Friday
to be with his wife and other rela
tives. They are at the home of her
brother, James Henderson.
Mr. and Mrs. Herman Duus and
Mrs. Eva Sprenger went to Han
ford Wednesday. Mrs. Sprenger
left Wednesday night for Portland
after spending several days at the
Duus home.
The neighbors of Mr. and Mrs.
Donald J. Kenney gathered at the
Kenney home Friday evening to
charivari the newly-weds. They
were married in the Presbyterian
manse at Walla Walla Wednesday
evening, Dec. 12 before a small
crowd of relatives and friends. Mrs.
Kenny, the former Freda Johnson
has lived here and finished high
school here. Mr. Kenny is a cham
pion melon raiser. After gathering
at the Kenney home the crowd
moved on to the Lillian Rutledge
home where there was music pro
vided for dancing.
Johnnie Sweringen, a former el
ectrician mate, is now a U. S. ci
vilian as he received his honorable
discharge Monday at Pendleton. He
is accompanied by Mrs. Sweringen
and daughter Connie.
