Private Elroy G. Martin, husband
of Mrs. Juanita Martin and son of
Mr. and Mrs. Myles Martin of Lex
ington, was recently assigned to
the 536th amphibian tractor battal
ion on Okinawa. Pvt Martin, a for
mer rancher, was inducted late in
1944 and upon completion of his
basic training at Fort Knox, Ky.,
was sent to Okinawa.
