Carlson, home economics teacher
in charge of the school cafeteria,
went to La Grande Wednesday to
attend a cooking school. The short
course is part of the teachers insti
tute program and is conducted for
the benefit of school cafeteria
cooks.
Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Shamblin,
of Commerce, Okla. spent 16 days
visiting Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Sham
blin of Heppner. Mr. Shamblin
spent several days hunting deer
and pheasant. Also enjoyed the
picturesqne surroundings and the
hospitality of Oregon. They re
turned home Tuesday.
