They are look ing for a business location. Mr. .and Mrs. Warren Powers visited her aunt, Mrs. Elmer Ruck er Monday. Mrs. Powers is the for mer Wanda Yarington and they were married in La Grande Sun day at the Christian church. The Paul Haberleins returned Sunday from a week's vacation in the mountains. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Isom and dau ghter Donna and Mrs. Mary Belle Eddy came home Sunday from Monument with a deer. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Browning and daughter Delores spent the week end in Cle Ellum returning Sunday Mrs. Brownings mother, Mrs. M. A. walker. The Dan Hills have lumber ready to build an addition to their house. Mrs. Milton Bailey took Milton Jr to the Pendleton hospital for treat ment. He has been very ill but was improving Monday. Fred Adams was taken to the hospital at Pendleton Monday night. He has pneumonia. Carol Slate entertained the mem bers of her class and her teacher, Miss Scott Thursday afternoon. It was her 11th birthday. Games were played and refreshments were serv ed. Twenty-six were present. Mr. and Mrs. Emmett McCoy, the Russell McCoys, Alfred Goodwin of Hermiston and Milton Bailey spent last week in the mountains. They came home Saturday with a bear. Mr. ana Mrs. Jay Berry came up and Emmett McCoy left Monday for the mountains. Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Krawl and four children are moving to a farm above Hermiston. The Minnie Fra ser family will move into the house as soon as it is vacated. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Dodge have rented the Meadow camp grounds and are already in possession. Sgt Glen O'Brien of Mountain Home Ida. spent the week-end with his wife and son Chester. He just had a week-end pass. Mr. and Mrs. Emery Bediwell spent Sunday at Sunnyside Wash with their son Roy and family. Her bert Rand accompanied them and visited Johnny Tade. The Tades moved from here in Sept. Mrs. Margaret White and daugh ter Loretta of Stanfield spent the week-end with the Roy Minnick family. Mr. and Mrs. Russell McCoy and three children moved to Seattle Sunday. Mr. McCoy is employed there. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Graybeal are hunting in the Elgin country. Mrs. F. C. Fredrickson, son Tohn and daughter Freda and small dau ghter visited Mrs. Sam Smith Sun day, Mrs. Smith has been ill. Rev. Ray Ames from the Baptist training school preached in the Community church Sunday. Rev. Scondeen of Pasco preached in the Pentecostal church Sunday evening. The Fred Adams and Wallace Winquists took carloads of the Community church members to Hermiston for the three o'clock service, evening dinner and evening services. Dick is confined to her bed for a rest of at least a month. She is feeling better but the attend ing physician insists she must re main in bed. Meantime, neighbors and friends are keeping an eye on her so she simply has to "stay put." Mr. and Mrs. John Hiatt and SK 3c and Mrs. Hubert Gaily are spending this week in the mount ains hunting. A telephone message this morning disclose that M:a.
