Pomona Grange Has
Busy Day Saturday

guest of Willows grange. The tem
perature crowded the 100 mark and

Another item of interest to this
section was that of storage for the
oncoming wheat crop to be harvest
ed. A suggestion that a ceiling price
on wheat that would permit the
stockgrower to fatten his hogs and
beef at a small profit would solve
not only the storage bottleneck but
relieve the meat situation as well.
A splendid program was present
ed, showing slides of typical rural
schools of yesteryear, also modern
, buildings for rural America.
Speakers were introduced by Mrs.
Rodgers and included Miss Laber
and Mrs. Van Lowe. Ben Buisman
of the Oregon Grange Bulletin pre
sented the slides.
A class of five was instructed in
the Pomona degree by the Willows
team.
Larry Mollahan, son of Mr. and
Mrs. Pat Mollahan, had to have a
stitch taken in his lip after he had
run into a barbed wire fence Sun
day evening.
