Thy liked living here but Mr. Hensen's health is not good here. Luella Minnick is able to be out after a severe case of tonsilitis. The vote in Irrigon Friday was light. Vernon Jones, Mrs. Atol Eucker, Mrs. Floyd Sparks and Mrs. Hunting were judges. Fred Adams and son Robert re turned from Lehman Springs Fri day. The W. E. Graybeals have just returned from a trip to the moun tains. Graybeal is a guard at Ord nance. The Glen Aldrichs are spending this week fishing. Herbert Ames took 125 white frvprs to The Dalles Tuesday. Rev. Stran of the Pentecostal church left Tuesday after painting me some road signs for the church. Hp travels for the Pentecostals. Mr. and Mrs. Emery Bedwell went to Pendleton Sunday. Mr and Mrs. McGee of Pendle. ton are having a vacation Bible school. They are assisted by mem- ihfirs of the Pentecostal churcw. Some of the classes are in each church. Rev. Sloan gave two inter, estin? sermons Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Smith and on Steven and the Tom Caldwells, Freda Fredricson and Josephine West and children left Monday for the mountains. Mrs. Walter Grider and Mrs. W. L. Suddarth went to Heppner Sat urday. Fred Houghton took a car of people to Heppner Tuesday. Rev. Turner. LaVelle and Mar ine Markham, Donald Greglund, Delores Browning, Esther and Beth Warner, LaVonne McCoy, Louise and Carol Turner returned Saturday from the Pentecostal Boys and girls camp south of Pendleton. The Henry Millers enertained Capt. and Mrs. Billington and baby and Capt. McGuire and family Fri day evening. Billy Allen S 2c is leaving Wed nesday for Seattle for reassignment after 10 days spent with his mother, Mrs. W. H. Grim and other rela tives and friends here. Mrs. Roy Van Cleve and daugh ter, Mrs. Ken Matson and two sons and Glen Albright, all of Pas co, spent Sunday with Mrs. Van Cleve's daughter, Mrs. Milton Bai ley and family. Miss Patty Markham of Pasco ar rived Saturday to visit at the Har vey Smith home. She returned to Pasco Sunday with .the Van Cleves. Mr. and Mrs. Rusell McCoy and Mrs. J E. McCoy and Snow McCoy left Sunday for Portland to spend a week with Mrs. Jay Berry and 'family. Mr. McCoy is employed at Ordnance and Mrs. McCoy at Bai ley's grocery. BOARDMAN NEWS By FRANCES SKOUBO Myral McFarland of Umatilla, of Mr. and Mrs. A. E. McFarland, is spending the week at their home. Mrs. John Partlow and infant son John Jay returned from The Dalles hospital Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Billings are the proud parents of a baby dau ghter Brenda Zoe, born in The Dalles hospital Saturday. Mother and daughter are reported to be doing well. Mr. and Mrs. Albert McLouth, and family have moved back to Athena where they formerly lived. Mr. and Mrs. Thorpe of Hermis ton are moving back to their ranch recently vacated by the McLouths. Mr. and Mrs. Bill Morrison and daughters of Vale spent last week with Mrs. Morrison's parents, Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Wilson. Mr. and Mrs. Homer Baker of Portland also spent several days at the Wilson home. Mr. and Mrs. Linn left last week to pick cherries in The Dalles. Word was received by Mr. and Mrs Miles that their son Jack had arrived in New York. No news has yet been received from Bob Miles. Mr. and Mrs. H. O. Ely and Mr. and Mrs Wallace Mathews of lone were Sunday visitors at the Elvin Ely home Sherron and Larry Watts return ed home last week after spending several weeks with their grand parents in Union. Mr. Cramer is reported to be re covering in the Hermiston hospital. Bob Smith of the air corps sta tioned in California visited friends in Boardman this week. Andy Jones of the U. S. navy en joyed a week-end pass with his mother, Mrs. Blanch Jones, and family. Gump is stationed at Bremerton. Will Bechdolt accompanied his son Archie Bechdolt to Hardman Sunday where he will visit for a week with Mr. and Mrs. Adrien Bechdolt and friends. The construction boys who were employed at the bombing range completed their job and left last week. Eleanora Skoubo who spent sev eral days with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Adolf Skoubo left Friday to enter nurses training at the Mult nomah County hospital in Portland.
