In all probabil ity the position will be open in a few weeks as the incumbent, John H. Fuiten has been accept ed for military service and may be called up any time after April 1. If someone will step for ward now and take a course in scouting under Mr. Fuiten it will lighten the burdens of the Scout council and enable the boys to carry on an unbroken schedule. The local Scouts have made commendable progress since Fuiten has been their leader. And the, funny part about it is that he had had no previous experience in Scouting just a desire ; to help the boys and being gifted with a .talent for working with them. He has paved the way for another to step in and carry on to even great er heights. If you have a yen to work with boys here's your opportunity to do a real community service. - The French have a word for it.
