1. Is it fair to the Service Men while they are away?
Approximately 100,000 service men and women from Oregon
cannot vote on this question. Is It fair to permit prohibition
to be slipped over again in 1944 as was done in 1918? You
can protect them by voting 313 X NO!
2. If they get away with this, will all Beverages be next?
So far this "Burke Bill" pertains only to beverages over
14 alcohol by volume. But if they slip over this much
the light beverages will be NEXT I You can protect your
self by voting 313 X NO.
3. What will this Joker" do right now?
It will prohibit you from serving any guests your usual hos
pitality beverages in your club or at home unless you want
to risk severe penalties. Look out for this dangerous
"JOKER".

"Purpose: Requiring all Intoxicating liquor containing over 14 per cent
of alcohol by volume, Including fortified wine, except for sacramental
purposes, to be sold exclusively by stores and agencies operated by the
Oregon liquor control commission, and making It unlawful for any other
person, firm or corporation to sell, offer for sale, or GIVE TO ANY
PERSON any such wines or liquors, except for sacramental purposes.
Violation of this act is made punishable by fine andor imprisonment.
