son Pfc Jack Miles has' been miss
ing in action, in France since Sept.
21.
Regular grange meeting was held
Saturday night. Those participating

Mr. and Mrs. N. Macomber and
grandchildren motored to Pendle
ton on business Saturday.
Low Hamilton, Eldon Lilly, Del
bert Carpenter and Ernie Peck
were deer hunting this week. All
returned without their game.
Mrs. Ray Brown motored to Her
miston on business Friday.
The grange is sponsoring a dis
cussion of the bills to be voted on
Nov. 7, at the grange hall Oct. 31.
This is a public discussion and ev
eryone is urged to attend.
Ernest Tyler left Sunday after
noon for Fort Lewis where he is
to take his final Thursdlay. '
Mr. and Mrs. Van Metre and
Crystal Barlow were in The Dalles
on business Sunday.
Daniel Ransier, who is stationed
at the Ordinance department at
Pasco was home visiting his par
ents Mr and Mrs. Dan Ransier
Monday.
Dave Johnston, former resident
in Boardman. was a hunting guest
of Mr. and Mrs. R. S. Wilson over
