Heppner Gazette Times, September 28, 9 5 Bishop Dedicates Building Anew At a special evening prayer ser vice Sunday, Bishop William P. Remington of the eastern Oregon diocese dedicated to the service of God the recently completed altera tions and redecorations of All Saints Episcopal church in Hepp ner. A capacity audience, swelled by groups from other churches dis missed for the occasion, heard the bishop in the brief dedication cere mony and later deliver a sermon bearing on the same subject. The present structure was built and dedicated in 1904, taking the place of the original structure des troyed in the flood of 1903. The parish house was a development "CHURCHES of later years, arising from a ne f unctions not held in the house of cbssity for a place to hold church worship. Bishop Remington paid a hiiL compliment to Archdeacon Blunt and his co-worker, Rev. Bennie Howe, for the high quality of work done and the beautv resulting therefrom. He said he regarded it one of the most beautiful houses of worship within the diocese. A social hour followed the ser vice, a large part of the audience assembling in the parish house where Mrs. Remington and Mrs. Theodore Barber presided at the tea table. Tea, cnliee, sandwiches jid cookies were served. Before the assemblage broke up, Mrs. Remington presided at the piano and led in communty singing. Accompanying Bishop and Mrs. Remington from Pendleton were Dr. and Mrs. Theodore Barber, the Rev. Eric O. Robathan, Miss Sophia Robertson, Mr. and Mrs. Lorin O'Garra and Mrs. G. W Phelps of Pendleton, and Mrs. Phelps' sister, Mrs. Julia 'Metzler of La Grande. and his closest friends have ob served some improvement in the fond papa since Monday.
