ceived a telegram Thursday morn
ing from their son Pfc Lawrence
Smith stating he had arrived safe
ly in the United States. He has
been in the Aleutians for the past
two years. He is now stationed in
( Mississippi and expects to be home
on furlough soon.
A community Fourth of July pic
nic will be, held on the school
lawn. Everyone is to bring a main
dish and either a salad or dessert.

Keith returned Saturday from Ta
coma where they have been visit
ing at the Art Allen' home. Their
son Lyle of the U. S. navy re
turned with them for a few days
