Cub Scouts Plan
For Pack Meeting
At a meeting held at Orville
Smith's home Thursday May 18,
plans were made for the monthly
pack meeting to be held at the
Rodeo grounds at 5 p. m. Monday
May 29. Those in attendance were
Father McCarmack, cub master;
Mrs. Cornett Green, Den mother of
Den I; Mrs. Conley Lanham, Den II;
Ooolejr Imihn chalrmaa at pack
committee and Orville Smith, treas
urer. The pack meeting is part of the
program outlined for cubbdng. Each
month there is a different theme to
be carried out. For this month it is
the Indian theme. Cubs will demon
strate the skill they have acquired
at their den meetings by erecting
teepees, and other Indian regalia.
They are expected to turn out for
the meeting in their home made In
dian costumes with their head
bands, tomahawks, and tom-toms.
They will have an opportunity to
take part in the popular boy activi
ty game of playing "Wild Injun".
Cub mothers and Dads are urged
to attend this meeting and lend
their support and encouragement to
this healthy activity.
The program will also include a
weiner roast and competition in the
various feats of strength and skill.
Prizes will be awarded to the den
having the most points. From the
interest the Cubs have shown so far
a grand outing is anticipated and
keen competition is expected.
