The auxiliary is prepar ing to launch a program which will include a thorough canva?lp of the homes of the county in an effort to check the growing tendency to ward inflation and to guarantee an equitable distribution of necessities. For this program pledge sjheets and window stickers will be disi tributed by the auxiliary, the for mer to be filled out and filed with the war price and rationing board, the latter to be displayed in the home. The pledge sheet says: To do my part on the home front; to help distribute rationed goodaj fair ly; to help hold down the cost of living; to help eliminate black mar kets; to bring violations to the at tention of my war price and ra tioning board I make the follow ing pledge: I will pay no more than top legal prices. I will accept no rationed goods without giving up ration sjtamps. The sticker says "I pay no more than top legal prices" and I ac cept no rationed goods without giv ing up ration stamps." A pamphlet accompanying the pledge says in part: "Your ration stamps are used only for those foodsj which are scarce. With them you get a fair share of those foods. If you aJk for more than your stamps allow, you cheat your neigh bor. If your dealer suggests that you buy more than your stamps allow you can be sure that he is, a black market operator."
