You, and each of you, are hereby
required to appear and answer the
complaint filed against you in the
above entitled cause within four
weeks from the date of the first
publication of this summons, and
if you fail to so appear and answer
or otherwise plead, for want there
of the plaintiff will apply to the
Court for the relief prayed for in
plaintiffs complaint, to-wit:
For a decree that the plaintiff,
Mabel C. Crawford, is the sole own
er in fee simple of the following
described real premises, to-wit:
The Southwest quarter of Sec
tion 8, Township 1, North of
Range 24, E.W.M.
The Northeast quarter of
Section 34 in Township 2, North
of Range 24, E.W.M.
The Northeast quarter and
the Northwest quarter and the
Southwest quarter of Section 26,
in Township 2, North of Range
24, E.WJM.
All of the above described land
being situate in the County of Mor
row and State of Oregon
and that the defendants, P. Laroux,
The Western Investment Company,
a corporation, North American
Trust Company of New York, a
corporation, Estacada State Bank
of Estacada, a corporation, Noble
Holding Company, a corporation,
Nicolai Thompsen and Jane Doe
Thompsen, his wife, if living, or if
deceased, her unknown heirs, ex
ecutors, administrators, trustees
and assigns, Wilda Siegmund, and
also all other persons or parties un
known having or claiming to have
any right, title, estate, lien, or in
terest in the real estate described
in the complaint herein, nor any of
them, have any right, title, estate,
lien or interest in or to the real
premises in the complaint describ
ed, and for a decree quieting
plaintiff S title to the said premises
and the whole thereof, and for such
other and further relief as to the
court may seem meet and equit
able m the premises.
This summons is published pur
suant to the order of the Honor
able Cavin L. Sweek, Judge of the
above entitled court, made and en
tered in the above entitled cause
on the 27th day of November, 1942,
and the date of the first publica

you are hereby notified that pur
suant to Title 110, Chapter 9, Art
icle I of Oregon Compiled Laws
Annotated 1940, Volume 7, and
Chapter 187 of Oregon Session
Laws for 1941, the tax collector of
Morrow County, Oregon, has duly
prepared a list of all real properties
within said County and State upon
which three years have elapsed
from the earliest day of delinquency
of taxes levied and charged there
on, and on which two or more an
nual instalments of delinquent
taxes, each such instalment being
one-quarter of the earliest date of
delinquency, have not been paid in
accordance with the provisions of
Title 110, Chapter 9, Article I of
Oregon Compiled Laws Annotated
1940, Volume 7, and Chapter 187 of
Oregon Session Laws for 1941, and
which said taxes are now subject
to foreclosure; that such list is
known as the "Foreclosure List"
and contains the names of the sev
eral persons apearing in the latest
tax roll as the respective owners of
tax-delinquent properties, a de
scription of each property as the
same appears in said latest tax roll,
the year or years for which the
taxes are delinquent taxes of each
year, for the year 1941 and prior
years, and the amount of accrued
interest thereon to the date of June
15, 1942, at the rate of eight percent
per annum; that a copy of the said
list is hereinafter set forth and in
cluded in this summons and. notice.
You and each of you are further
notified that in the sub-joined tab
ulation of this summons the left
hand column thereof under the
words "Name of Owner as shown
by Latest Tax Roll and the De
scription of the Property" is , the
names of the persons or person ap
pearing on the latest tax roll in the
hands of the sheriff for collection
as owner or owners of the property
described immediately under such
name or names and such descrip
tion shows the description of the
several tracts of land herein re
ferred to as the same as described
on the tax rolls of Morrow County,
Oregon; that in said description,
the abbreviation "DR" means Deed
Record, and the figures indicate
the book arid page of Morrow Coun
ty Deed Records wherein said
tract Is described; that the capital
letters "N", "S", "E", "W", mean
respecively North, South, East and
West; that Heppner Mt Vernon
means Mt. Vernon's addition to the
city of Heppner; that Heppner John
son's means Johnson's addition to
the city of Heppner; that lone Sper
ry's 2nd means Sperry's 2nd addi
tion to the city of lone; following
each description in said tabula ton
and reading from left to right, the
column reading "Sec or Lot" indi
cates the Section or Lot number;
Block" indicates Township or
that the column headed 'Twp. or
Block; that the column headed
"Range E. W. M." indicates Range
East of the Willamette Meridian;
that the figures in the column
headed "Years of Delinquency" in
dicate the years for which the tax
is delinquent; that the figures in the
column headed "Amount of Taxes"
indicates the tax due for each year
designated on the piece of property
described in the first column; that
the figures in the column headed
"Interest to June 15, 1942" indicate
the accrued interest on each years
tax at the rate of eight per cent per
annum; that the figures in the col
umn headed "total" indicate the
total tax and Interest to June 15,

after the date of the first publica
tion thereof, exclusive of the day
of first publication, and defend this
action, or pay the amount such as
would have prevented inclusion in
the foreclosure list of your prop
erty plus additional penalty and
interest accrued, and in case you
fail to do so, a judgment and de
cree will be rendered against you
as your interest may appear in the
tabulation aforesaid, foreclosing the
lien of Plaintiff for taxes and costs
against the tracts of land above
described.

proceedings may be served on the
