This is believed to be the highest rank held by any boy from Morrow county. The P. T. A. of lone held an auc tion sale at the school house Friday, A great variety of articles were Dec 4 to assist the hot lunch fund, donated for the sale. Gene Inskeep, superintendent of the school acted as auctioneer. About $90.00 was raised for the fund. The school band conducted by Selmer Sever -son furnished the program before the auction and afterwards refresh ments of pie and coffee were sold. Mrs. Ruby Kincaid who is a pa tient at the Heppner hospital is reported improving. The O. E. S. social club will meet at the Masonic hall Wednesday Dec. 9. The time will be spent cutting out night Uowns from Red Cross material anyone wishing to help in the Red Cross sewing see Mrs. Feldman for garments. Mrs. Al Swales is at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Clark convalescing from a bad cold. She plans to return soon to her work at Pendleton.
