Notice is hereby given that the
undersigned, Joint Administrator
and Administratrix of the Estate of
R. A. Thompson, deceased, have
filed with the County Court of
the State of Oregon, for Morrow
County, their Final Account of
their . administration of the said
estate, and that the said Court has
set Monday, the 2nd day of Novem
ber, 1942 at, the hour of 11 o'clock
A. M. in the forenoon of said day
at the County Court room at the
Court House at Heppner, Oregon,
as the time and place for hearing
objections to said Final Account and
the settlement of said1 estate, and
all persons having objections to said
Final Account or the settlement
of said estate are hereby required
to file the- same with said Court
on or before the time set for said
hearing.

-Mrs. Delight Goodman left Mon
day night for Fresno Calif., to visit
her husband who is stationed there
in the U. S. Army.
Mr. and Mrs Clarence Fredrick
son went back to Portland Satur
day after several weeks visit with
his parents the F. C. Fredricksons.
Clarence is waiting his call to join
the navy.
There was no school Wednesday
as the busses were used to take a
delegation of Irrigon people to Hep
pner to meet with the County
Court in the interest of better roads
leading to the Ordnance Depot
here.-
Mrs. Suddarth was a Hermiston
visitor Friday, and the Herman
Duus family sent Monday eve
ning in Hermiston, Saturday.
Mrs. Alquist left for Vale Sat
urday after spending a week here
with her husband and friends.,
Fred Rieks had a sale Wednesday
selling off his stock, machinery and
household goods.
Miss Rada was ill Friday. Mrs.
Sherman taught for her that day.
The high school had an athletic
program Friday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Ray Bedwell went
to Sunnyside Saturday to visit her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Hewitt.
They returned Sunday.

Mr. and Mrs. Batie Rand went to
Pendleton Saturday evening and
Mrs. Isom went to Pendleton Fri
day. Mrs Daivs and Mrs, Hazelrig
spent several days at Bridgeport,
Wash., returning Tuesday with a
load of prunes.
Mrs, Violet Hill and Mrs. Johnny
Sweringen gave a stork shower for
Mrs. Earl Terry. She received some,
nice presents.
Miss Lavern Duus sent Saturday
with her parents Mr. and Mrs? Her
man Duus. She is a student nurse
at Pendleton.
Mr. and Mrs. W. R. Struthers vis
ited his brother S. N. Struthers on
Butter cieek Sunday.
Tho school was let out at 2:30
o'clock Wednesday because of a
teachers' meeting at lone that eve
ning. Al Evans has gone back to work
after several weeks vacation on ac
count of p. b'oken arm.

a pot luck dinner. They finished the
quilt and decided to put in another
next meeting. Rev. and Mrs. Wal
pcle and two daughters and Mrs.
Kuhn of Boardman were present
and Mrs. Nichols was a new mem
ber. Avery Shoun was down from the
Heppner ranch Saturday.
Mrs. Stephens has moved into her
new house. Mr. Sweringen is adding
a new porch with a cement floor
and the C. W. Grims are building
a pump cellar for a new electric
pump.
Miss Dolores Halberlein returned
to California after spending a week
with her father Paul Halverlein and
her sister Paula.
Mr. and Mrs. James Arnberg
spent Saturday evening in Hermis
ton. .
Mrs. Dosch went to Pendleton
Saturday and returned Sunday.
