Guy Moore, Donna
Lodgson Wed

A very pretty wedding was per
formed Saturday evening at 8 o'
clock at the Lodgson home in Ath
ena when Miss Donna Lodgson be
came the bride of Mr. Guy Moore
of Butter creek, son of Mrs. Roy
Neill. A candlelight service and the
ring ceremony were used. Refresh
ments were served to sixty rela
tives and close friends. The young
couple left on a wedding trip to
Portland and Seattle.
Miss Betty Finch and Misses Hel
en and Rosetta Healy spent the
week end with their parents. The
girls are high school students in
Heppner.
Mrs. Marion Finch attended East
ern Star lodge in Heppner Friday
evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Garnet Abercrombie
spent Monday in Pasco and Cornell,
Wash., on business.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Vogler spent
Tuesday at their home at Cornell.
Charley Morehead of Ellensburg,
Wash., has rented the Roy Neill
place. They expect to move as soon
as school is out in May.
School will be closed Friday for
the day. All students will attend the
May day festival in Heppner. A
track meet is held in the morning
and a music festival "in the after
noon. A number of men from Pine City
went into different towns to register
Monday. All men from 45 to 65
years of age.
Misses Shirley and Janet Myers
are ill with colds this week.
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Scott and
daughter of Wasco were over night
guests at the Roy Neill home Sat
urday and Sunday. They attended
the wedding of Guy Moore. Mrs.
Scott is a sister of Mr. Moore.

County for the year 1942-1943, and
will correct errors in valuation, de
scription or quality of land, lots or
other property, assessed by the As
sessor of Morrow County, Oregon
as of January 1, 1942.
All persons interested or having
any complaints against their assess
ments for the year 1942-1943, should
appear at that time. Petitions for
the reduction in assessment must be
in writing, "verified by oath of ap
plicant or his attorney and must be
filed with the board the first 15
days it is in session. Any petition
or application not so made, verified
and filed shall not be considered or
acted upon by the board.
