Mustangs Register
Wins in Week's Play
After emerging winners at the
Condon jamboree Friday evening,
Heppner high's Mustang basketeers
defeated the strong Hermiston team
at Hermiston the following night
27-20, and toppled lone here 33-12
on Tuesday night to maintain an
, undefeated status in the play so far
this season.

Hermiston was rated favorite be
fore Saturday's game, having defeat
ed the Pendleton Buckaroos the Sat
urday previous. The Pendleton team
recently held Mac high to a one
point victory, according to' report
from the local school, which added:
The Union team that lost to Hepp
ner on the Union floor defeated the
LaGrande high team at LaGrande
Friday night. If scores mean any
thing the Mustangs are rated as high
as any "A" school in eastern Oregon.
John Skuzeski again led the Mus
tangs team in scoring at Hermiston
with seven points. Hollman of Her
miston was high for the game with

Tuesday's lone game was reported
as ragged. In spite of the score the
Heppner team was far from clicking,
missing several set ups. Bob Pinck
ney, Heppner's southpaw right guard,
accounted for nine points to take
high scoring honors for the evening.
In a preliminary game the Hepp
ner seconds beat the lone seconds
22-8. Bill Snow of Heppner was
high scorer with 6 points.
