Dr. L. D.Tibbies returned home
Monday from a three weeks' vaca
tion motor trip to Los Angeles. His
family went on to Missouri to spend
the summer at the home of Mrs.
Tibbies' parents. While in the south
Dr. Tibbies and family helped cele
brate the golden wedding anniver
sary of his parents, and took in
many points of interest including
Catalina island and Tia Juana.
C. J. D. Bauman and Robert C
Wightman were in Portland for sev
eral davs this week, attending ses
sions of a state Royal Arch Masons
conference as delegates from the lo
cal chapter.
J. G. Barratt motored to Portland
Tuesday accompanied by Dick
Hoyt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Palmer
Hoyt, who was returning to his home
in the city after a ten day visit here.
Miss Teresa Breslin, teacher in the
Hermiston schools, visited her par
ents, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Breslin, last
week end.

Mr. and Mrs. Herman Parker were
visiting at the home of Mrs. Par
ker's parents. Mr. and Mrs. Clive
Huston. They returned to Portland
on Friday.
A surprise party was given for
Marguerite Glavey at the Liberty
school last Thursday afternoon. The
occasion was Miss Glavey's birthday.
Mr. and Mrs. H. G. Suter spent
their spring vacation at the home of
Mrs. Suter's brother, Harley An
derson. Mr. and Mrs. Charley Becket gave
a birthday dinner Sunday for their
grand daughter, Nancy Hana. Rela
tives from Fossil, Heppner and Lex
ington were present.
