PINE CITY NEWS
Pine City Wins at
County School Meet
By BERNICE WATTENBURGER
The Pine City school students
spent Friday in Heppner for the
May Day track meet and music pro
gram. Frances Finch took first prize
in ball throwing, Junior Wattenbur
ger took first in jumping. Bobby
Schiller and Bob Groundvald took
fourth and fifth places.
The Martin Swartz shearing crew
is shearing at the Tom Boylen ranch
this week.
Miss Shirley McGreer left Mon
day with her grandparents, Mr. and
Mrs. R. L. Brewster of Klamath
Falls for a two week visit before
going to Redmond for the summer.
Mr. and Mrs. R. E. McGreer are
spending the week in Fossil and
Bend.
Mr. and Mrs. A. E. Wattenburger
visited Sunday in Umatilla and
Irrigon.
Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Wattenburger
and family were dinner guests Sun
day at the C. H. Ayers home.
