Stage Charivari at
Bartholomew Home
A crowd of 65 neighbors and
friends gathered at the Charles
. Bartholomew home last Thursday
evening to charivari their son and
daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. O.
F. Bartholomew of Sacramento, Cal.
who were visiting here during the
holidays. Dancing was enjoyed by
all.
Mr. and Mrs. John Harrison, son
John Edward and Clayton Knotts
of Helena, Mont., had dinner at the
George Currin home Monday night.
Mrs. Currin is a sister of Mrs. Har
rison and Mr. Knotts.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Barnes of Pil
"ot Rock spent the week end at the
Marion Finch home.
Mr. and Mrs. Bert Barnes, Mr.
and Mrs. Marion Finch and Mr.
and Mrs. E. D. Wattenburger spent
New Years eve at the Clayton Ay
ers home. At 12 o'clock, midnight,
an oyster supper was served.
Mr. and Mrs. Clayton Ayers and
family were New Year dinner
guests at the Bill Wattenburger
home in Washington.
Mrs. L. D. Neill spent a few days
of last week with her daughter, Mrs.
Knighten, in Hardman. Mrs. Knigh
ten was quite ill.
Mr. and Mrs. S. T. Robison of
Hardman spent Wednesday and
Thursday at the Charles Bartholo
mew home.
Mr. and Mrs. E. D. Wattenburger
and family spent New Years day in
Pendleton with Mrs. Wattenburg
er's sister and family, Mrs. Floyd
Van Orsdale.
Mrs. Lois Kent returned Monday
night from Rainier after her Christ
mas vacation. She was accompanied
home by her father, R. E. Dibbles,
and sister, Mrs. Izell Conlee.
Mr. and Mrs. Frank Helms spent
Thursday in Milton.
E. B. and A. E. Wattenburger
made a business trip to Walla Walla
Tuesday.
Charles Bartholomew was a Pen
dleton visitor Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bartholo
mew and daughter and son-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Truman Sether, visit
ed in Milton and Freewater Friday.
Mr. and Mrs. L. D. Neill were
dinner guests at the Charles Bar
tholomew home Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Bob Smith of Irri
gon were over-night guests at the
Russell Moore home Friday. They
had recently returned from the east
with a new car and plan on leaving
for -California Tuesday for an ex
tended vacation. Mr. Smith's par
ents will accompany them.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur McGreer
were dinner guests at the R. E. Mc
Greer home New Year's day. Mr.
and Mrs. McGreer are from Clarno.
