Swearingen and Don Rut ledge went deer hunting Sunday. Frank Brace and family returned . from The Dalles Sunday, where Mrs. Brace has been recovering from an illness. Earl Leach, Benny McCoy, Frank Leicht and the Benefiel boys were the last of the season hunters who returned this week. Ray Coulter is working at the school in Mr. Brace's absence. Mr. and Mrs. Carl Brownell of Portland and Mr. and Mrs. Mac Graybeal of Umatilla were guests of Mrs. Josephine Graybeal over Sunday. Bill Graybeal, Glen Aldrich, Mar shall Markham and Mr. Haney all returned home with deer Saturday. Vernon and Willard Jones also brought in a deer apiece. Irrigon school band went to Pen dleton Saturday to play during the teachers' institute. Mrs. Don Isom, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Rex Moses of Umatilla motored to Okanogan and the Grand Coulee dam in Washington this week end.
