Up to this time the Robin son children, Donald, Creston and Rita, have been driving to high school from the ranch each morning. Albert Walker is worse again and on Monday Dick Steers took him to Heppner to consult the doctor. He will remain at the hospital for a while. The cattle which Roy Robinson purchased in Montana about six weeks ago arrived in Heppner Fri day. There were 56 head and he trucked them to the ranch. They are registered Polled Herefords. The annual Red Cross roll call is being taken now. Everyone should make an effort to join. The first to enroll was the student body of the high school. The special numbers at the Com munity Sing were a solo, "There's a Silver Lining," by Miss Vera Mc Daniel; solo encore by Junior; "A Cowboy's Meditation" and "A Ho bo's Meditation;" and a reading "The Saxophone Kid," by Marvin Bran non. Vera McDaniel and Mildred Clary were on the honor roll in Miss Mor ton's room last week. Loes Stevens and Frances Inskeep 'left on Friday noon to go to The Dalles as delegates to the Young Peoples' Fellowship convention. They returned Sunday evening. Roy Bediwell and Miss Betty Hu ett were united in marriage at the bride's home in Sunnyside, Wash., Monday, Nov. 8, and returned to Ir rigon Saturday for a short stay with Mrs. Emery Bediwell. Mr. and Mrs. Roy Brown from Stanfield were here Sunday and took Mrs. Hoagland, Mrs. Brown's mother, to Echo for medical treat ment. Mr. and Mrs. Langley from Col orado are visiting Mr. and Mrs. Henry Phelps. Mr. and Mrs. John Doyle who have bene living in the Leicht cabins while working on the dredge, left Monday for their home in Bremer ton, Wash. A large part of the crew have been discharaged on the dredge work and the work will be completed in about two weeks. Mr. Wyble from Pendleton was in this vicinity Tuesday in the inter ests of the Sunday school recently organized at the Community church. Bert Benefiel returned home from Portland Saturday. Mrs. McCutcheon and Mrs. Eva Warner from Boardman attended church services here Sunday. John Voile returned home from the veteranss' hospital at Walla Wal la Friday.
