Senior Play Success The play, "The White Phantom," a farce mystery, was presented by the Senior class last Friday evening and was well received by an appre ciative crowd. Each character por trayed his part well. Arlene Morton as the colored house maid furnished many laughs. H.H.S. Let's Cooperate There seems to be a slight ten dency for us to be down-hearted, due to the one-sided score against Heppner last Friday. Even the team has been criticized as to their ability, Someone must win, and only a per feet team can have an undefeated season. As there is no perfect team one loss out of four games is still something to be proud of. There fore, a defeat is not something to be moaned about, but should give rise to a renewed spirit of enthus iasm; for if there is any team which Notice of Budget Meeting of the Tax Levying Board of the City of Heppner NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN, that on the 26th day of November, 1937, at the hour of 7:30 P. Let's also make the coming game with Hermiston a test of our support, even though the odds seem to be against us. H.H.8. Alumni Snatches Irene Beamer, who is attending Pacific university, spent the week end visiting friends and relatives in Heppner. Lois Ashbaugh is doing secretarial work for Mrs. Lucy Rodgers. Len Gilman, gridster at Pacific university, starred for his team against Albany college Friday by scoring two touchdowns. H.H.S. Game at Fossil This Friday Next Friday's game with Fossil, at Fossil, will surely be no easy task for the local Mustangs. Two weeks ago Condon beat them only by one point, the final score being 7-6. Fos sil seems to have improved a great deal since the first of the year arid are looking forward to the Heppner game. H.H.S. Eighth Grade News Kathryn Nys, a former pupil of Heppner grade school and now go ing to St. Mary's Cathedral in Port land, visited the eighth grade Mon day morning. The eighth grade has begun to assemble material for its school newspaper. They hope to publish it soon. H.H.S.
