Mr. and Mrs. Howard Charming and children of Orting, Wash., visit ed on the project last week. They are former residents of Boardman. Mr. and Mrs. Alton Klitz of Port land spent the week end visiting Mr. Klitz's parents, Mr. and Mrs. F. F. Klitz. . Pat Healy of St. Helens spent the week end visiting his parents Mr. and Mrs. Mike Healy. Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Wilson of La Grande visited friends and relatives on the project over the week end. Ted Wilson returned with them to La Grande where he will spend a short vacation. Mrs. Ella Shell spent the week end in Umatilla visiting Mrs. Mc- Farland. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Russell and children and George Russell of Odell visited at the S. C. Russell home over the 4th of July. George Rus sell and Clair Russell remained with the Russell family. Mr. and Mrs. Lyle Blayden of Spokane spent the week end visit ing the Blayden and Gorham homes, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Ball and chil dren and Mr. and Mrs. A. R. Hug and children spent Sunday at Toll gate. Mr. and Mrs. Glen Hadley, Stan ton, and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Har wood spent the latter part of last week fishing around Bend. Mr. and Mrs. Seiberts of Spokane, Mr. and Mrs. Christopherson of Portland spent the week end visiting at the Harry Jaynes home. Mr. and Mrs. Howell and Mr. and Mrs. Claude Myers and children were dinner guests Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Lubbes left Sat urday to spend a vacation in Klam ath Falls, where they will visit their daughter. Chas. Hendricks and son of Port land are visiting Mr. Hendricks' brother, Tom Hendricks. Mr. and Mrs. Hector Wicklander and family of La Grande are visit ing friends on the project. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wilson and children spent Sunday in Arlington where they visited friends and rel atives. Miss Cecelia Partlow of Portland visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Paul Partlow, over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Ward Shorer of Freeman, Mr. and Mrs. L. E. Boston and A. M. Boston of Spokane visited at the H. R. Parson home over the week end. Mrs. Ward Shorer will be remembered as Aldean Parsin. She remained with her parents for a visit of two weeks. Eldon and Norval Shannon spent the week end visiting friends in Boardman. Miss Ruth Fisher who has been working in Pendleton spent the week end visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Fisher. Mrs. McCutcheon and son Ralph are visiting in Portland. Mr. and Mrs. George Wicklander, Jr., took their baby to Hermiston Sunday where a sliver was re moved from his finger. He had in fection in it and it had become quite serious. A. B. Black spent the 4th of July with his family here. Mrs. H. E. Bates returned home Sunday after spending a two-weeks vacation with her son in Longview, Wash. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Brown left Sun day for Wallowa where they will spend a short vacation. Mr. and Mrs. Nate Macomber and Mr. and Mrs. Geb Pettis and son went to Walla Walla where they visited Sidney McReynolds. Mr. and Mrs. Truman Messenger and family of Portland visited at the T. E. Messenger home over the week end. Lloyd Mallory of Eugene visited his sister, Mrs. Sundsten, over the week end. Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Ransier spent the week end visiting Mr. and Mrs. Dan Ransier. Mrs. Jack Norkoski and Buster returned home this week after spending several weeks in Minne sota. Jessie and Victor Petruzzelli re turned home from Portland where they have been visiting. Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Colosso of Barnhart visited at the Petruzzelli home over the week end. Harlan Lundell' of Aberdeen, Wn., was a visitor on the project over the week end. Mildred Allen and Willard Baker spent Monday at the celebration in Kennewick. Mr. and Mrs. Ed Barlow and Mr. and Mrs. Leo Root of Boardman and Mr. and Mrs. Al Macomber of Hepp ner spent Sunday at Prosser, Wash. Ed Skoubo, Pat Healy and Peter Farley spent Sunday at Kennewick, Wash., where they took in the cele bration being held there. Mr. and Mrs. Erny Peck and chil dren spent the week end visiting in Yakima. Ed Gillespie, Mr. and Mrs. Art Gillespie and John Gillespie of Cal ifornia visited at the Zerl Gillespie home over the week end. Mrs. Grace Tyler and Mr. Forbes spent the week end in Portland. Miss Hazel Tyler returned with them. Forrester to Handle OSC Sports Publicity Corvallis. Regular sports news from Oregon State college will again be available to weekly papers not served by press associations, with the appointment of an athletic pub licity director by the Associated Stu dents at the college. J. W. (Bud) Forrester, Jr., formerly of Marsh field and more recently managing editor of the Pendleton East Ore gonian, has been appointed to the position by the Athletic Activities board. Forrester is a former student at Oregon State, who later worked in the sports department of the Port land Oregonian before going to Pendleton. In addition to looking after the athletic news he will also handle much of the editing of the Oregon State monthly, official alum ni publication, and will serve as adviser to the business staffs of oth er college publications.
