Truly purity is power. Impurity

fight the battle of life? Be pure.
Nothing enfeebles a man like sin.
Paul's counsel to Timothy, "Keep
thyself pure," was sound and right
Paul knew that what he asked was
perfectly possible to perform. To
win against the demon of impur
ity, hang the red lantern of danger
on every temptation, the indulgence
of sinful thought, the indecent
slory, the vile novel. Shun the
company of "lewd fellows of the
baser sort," the fellows who are de

Pray to God, your maker, for help
to keep you out of the devil's grip.
Fight as with the very strength of
the Almighty, ana never surrender.
Remember, "God is not mocked;
whatsoever a man soweth, that
shall he also reap."
We invite you to the coming ser

)nCE there was a man who was chased by a dog. He
ran, and ran, and so did the dog. Finally, too tired to go
farther, he stopped. To his surprise, the dog stopped also.
They lookecfat each other for a moment, a great light grad
ually dawning in the man's head. He took a step toward
the dog. The dog retreated. Another step. Another re
treat. After a brief rest, the man took after that dog and
chased him all the way back to where they had started
from, the dog covering the whole distance his tail between
his legs.
Depression and men are a good deal like that dog and
that man.
