Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Mahrt motor
ed to Pendleton Saturday.
Mr. and Mrs. Sam McDaniel have
moved to town for the winter. They
spent the summer at their moun
tain home in Burton valley.
Mrs. Chapel has awarded the pu
pils in her room prizes for having
the best posters representing
Thanksgiving. Neva Bleakman of
the 5th grade received first prize,
Owen Bleakman, Delsie Bleakman
and Burl Farrens of the 8th grade,
second and Dollie Farrens of the
7th grade, third.
The members of the girls' sewing
club and their teacher wish to thank
all those who bought numbers on
the blanket that was sold for the
benefit of their club. The net pro
ceeds were $6.25.
Neva Bleakman has been quite ill
the past week suffering an attack
of appendicitis.
Nick Leathers and Billy Lathers
returned from Vancouver Saturday
where they have been visiting rel
atives. John, Guy and Claud Hastings
and Arlton Stevens were Hardman
young men attending the reception
given Carl McDaniel and his bride
at Top Saturday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. G. A. Farrens and
family were called to lone Sunday
to attend the funeral of Mrs. Far
rens' sister, Mrs. Ralph Akers.
Mr. and Mrs. Owen Leathers and
Rov Afhbsuch went over to furnish
the music for the dance given at
Top Saturday evening.
Mrs. Floyd Adams and children
of Heppner visited at the home of
J. B. Adams Saturday.
Add Inskeep spent Saturday and
Sunday visiting his son Ocel near
lone.
Oran McDaniel is visiting his
father and mother this week.
Miss Alice Dyer returned to her
home at Hermiston Sunday after
finishing a very successful term of
school in the Burton valley district

Oregon, at the Court House In Heppner, Oregon, on the 5th day of December, 1929, when and whore the
estimates arrived at by the Budget Committe of Morrow County, Oregon, hereinafter set forth, may be dis
cussed with the Levying Board, and when and where any person who shall be subject to such tax levy,
shall be heard In favor of or against said tax levy or any part thereof.
