LOCAL FIRM TO PUT ON ONE OF
THE FAMOUS ONE-CENT SALES
As evidenced by the advertisement
r.f Patterson & Son apeparing on an
other page of this paper they will put
on one of the famous Rexall One Cent
Sales the 21st, 22nd and 23rd of this
month.
The One Cent Sale, whereby a cus
tomer purchases two articles of stan
dard merchandise for the price of one
plus one cent, is by no means a new
idea as the United Drug company or
iginated this uniqne way of advertis
ing several years ago. It is a real
:noney saving event for the thrifty
inclined citizen and has proven to be
a paying proposition for the company
irom an advertising standpoint, al
though tncy make no actual profit on
the goods sold during a sale.
There are approximately twenty
thousand of these sales held every
year by the Rexall stores over the
Ii,itcd States that would not be po
ible were it not for the enormous
manufacturing and distributing facil
ities of the United Drug company.
