Estimates and forecasts of wheat production, outside of Russia and China, indicate that the world's sup ply will be close to that of last year, hile the demand is stronger because of low stocks of old wheat and other grains and a short wheat crop in the Orient. Estimates of production in twenty-one countries of the North ern Hemisphere indicate a produc tion of 2,361.000,000 bushels as com pared with 2,230,000,000 bushels last year. These countries last year pro duced 78 per cent of the total produc tion of the northern hemisphere and 70 per cent of world production, ex clusive of Russia and China, Reporting Service Improved. The agricultural extension service of the O. A. C. and the federal bu reau of agricultural economcis will cooperate in crop and live stock re porting service for Oregon. The purpose was to elect officers for the following year. The follow ing were elected. A reception was held in the gym for the purpose of getting acquainted with hte new teachers and new schol- with the new teachers and new schol ar" They were entertained by a short program after which light refresh ments were served. A general assembly is held every Monday morning in the high school auditorium. Each grade takes its turn in furnishing the entertainment. The upper classmen are preparing a reception for the freshmen next Friday evening. The freshies are re quested to come in their old clothes and leave their high airs and haughty ways at home.
