The schools in Hardman were
closed at two-thirty o'clock last Wed
nesday afternoon in respectful mem
ory of Mr. C. E. Woodson.
The young people of Hardman at
tended a dance given at Dry Fork
last Saturday evening.
Sam Johnson of Spray was in
Hardman Sunday and Monday.
The Rebekah lodge met Monday
evening. Plans for two dances were
made.
Mrs. Helen M. Walker and Mrs.
Cochran were visitors at the grade
school last Thursday afternoon.
"Daddy" is the name of the three
act play which the seniors and jun
iors are rehearsing. It will be given
the week after Thanksgiving. The
cast includes Teddy Bumside, Laura
Williams, Lucy Williams, Lee Men-ill,
Neal K nigh ten, Tom McCarty, Ken
neth Batty, and Irene Harshman.
There will be a free dance Satur
day night, Nov. 14, under the aus
pices of the Odd Fellows.
Eight young people from Hardman
attended the senior play at Heppner
Monday evening. The members of the
party were Violet Saling, Rho Bleak
man, Hubert McDonald, Mrs. McDon
ald, Raymond McDonald, Louis Mc
Donald, Hazel McDonald, Mrs. Rob
inson. Orchestra practice is in full swing
and the members are enthusiastic
and working hard. The following
are members, Neal Knighten, Mra.
Mahrt, Miss Flynn, Beth Bleakman,
W. H. Ayers, and Alvin McCarty.
Bill Mahrt was a visitor at the ho
tel Saturday and Sunday.
BAZAAR DATE IS SET.
The Willing Workers of the Chris
tian church are preparing to hold
their annual baazar and sale of use
ful articles of sewing and fancy
work, and the date set is Saturday
December 5th, at the church parlors.
