Forged A Check. .
C. J. Kenney it wanted in Heppner
for forging a check for $31. It appears
that Kenney, who wae in town Satur
day and Sunday drinking tome, stated
that he had been working for W. 15.

lost the money anyway, kept tbe matter
quiet until the next day, by which time
Kenney had made good his escape as
he left town on the Monday morning
train toon after cashing the check, and
