Sir George Williams, the founder of
the first Young Men's Christian associ
ation, is still living at the age of eighty-
two in London. He was knighted in
1894, the fiftieth anniversary of the Y

Patty Lyle Collins, a southern wom

by the post office department at Wash
lngtoo, where she deciphers some of the
addresses of letters that would other

Mr. and Mrs. Harold F. McCormick
of Chicago have decided to endow i
medical Journal which is to discuss in
fectious diseases mainly. Mr. and Mrs.
McCormick founded the Institute For
the Study of Infectious Diseases In con
nection with Rush Medical college.
