Funeral services were held Tuesday after noon. Arthur was born at lone and is the son of Albert Petteys uf this place and Mrs. Mary Pief erof Walla. Besides hin father and wother h leavea to mourn hia loan, a brother, Gilbert, many other relatives and many griends Abont four weeks ago Arthur was taken ill here at the home of his aunt, Mrs. Chas Nord. His mother moved him to Walla Wa I where he underwent a major 0 eration. He was given the best 01 care but they could not save him. When his physician thonght a blood transfusion necessary, hia father went at once to the hospital and gave a pint and half of hia plood. Hia father spent the last night with him and his mother was at his side before the end came at 5:15 o'clock, Sunday morning. Many relatives from hare drove to Walla Walla.
