PIONEER PASSES ON
PAUL RIET.MANN, FOR
45 YEARS A RESIDENT
OF MORROW COUNTY,
DIES AT HEPPNER.
Paul Rletminn, who recently
underwent a major operation at
t Hcppner hospital, died Monday
evening and waa buried Wednea
day. Funeral tervlcea were held
at the Congregational church at
two o'clock Wednesday afternoon,
the paator, Rev. W. W. Head,
officiating. The hymne were
lung by Mr. Karl Beach and hia
eon Laurel, of Lexington, with
lira. Karl Beach ai accompanist.
Interment waa made in the I. 0.
0. F. cemetery at Ion Mr. Riet
mann waa born In Highland,
Illinois October 80, 1855. His
marriage to Margaret Clock oc
curred at that place, March 16,
1882, and a year later they emi
grated to the West and, after
some time epent at Olympla and
Walla Walla, finally located on
thehomeatead near lone which
la the present homeof the family.
Hit age at the time of hia death
wai 72 years, 7 months and 25
days.
He is survived by hia widow
and or sister, Mrs. Alice Keller,

five grandsons
