Community Gives Loyal
Support And Cooperation.
The American Legion, O. E. S;
1. O. O. F; and Rebecca Lodges
of both lone and Morgan, the
coaamunity at large together with
the surrounding country joined
lorces last Saturday evening In
putting over a most successful
benefit show and dance for the
relief of the Mississippi flood
victims. At a meeting of a gen
eral committeeTuesday afternoon
it was decided to send the proceeds
to the Red Cross. The financial
statement read was as follows:
Total receipt from dance "show
and lunch $324 64. Expensea
$00.64. Balance $264. This
amount is to be sent by bank
draft to Red Cross headquarters
together with a letter stating by
whom it was raised and the par-
nose for which it is to be used
The committee takes this means
of thanking everyone for their
loyal support and cooperation
which made this affair a
financial success of unexpected
proportions.
It is reported that the death of
Mr. Frank Farrens occurred at
Hardman, this Thursday morning
The funeral will be held on
Saturday next, but we are not
advised as to the place and the
hour of the Bervice.
